Robert Graham (1938-2008) is famous for being the artist behind many public sculptures, including the FDR Monument in Washington, D.C., the Joe Lewis monument in Detroit, and the great bronze doors on the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. (Bonus fact -- he was also married to Anjelica Houston and appeared in Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic!)
