SOLD - Mid Century Modern Red Wing Pottery Bowl - Sgraffito Line by Charles Murphy

This stunning mid century modern Red Wing pottery bowl is truly mid century marvelous! Produced for only six short months in 1955, this elegant bowl is part of Red Wing's high end 'Sgraffito' line, designed by Charles Murphy. With a graceful rounded square shape, the design on the bowl was produced by layering multiple hand-applied glazes, then a gentle wave pattern was hand-carved into the surface to reveal some of the colors beneath. An absolutely stunning and incredibly rare piece, this beautiful bowl is as gorgeous now as it was over 60 years ago.

Condition: In perfect condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. Colors are rich and vibrant.
