Wise Apple Weekly: Ripe Tomatoes & a Disco Ball

Hello, lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful week! Have you all caught Fall fever yet? I'm definitely getting there! In last week's edition of Wise Apple Weekly, I promised to share some of the treasures we found on our trip to Ithaca - and here I am, back to share those goodies, and more! This past week wasn't nearly as adventurous or exciting as last week, but it was still packed with little things that all added up to a week chock-full of things to be happy about. So, without further ado, let's dive right in!
four stars no dots
A handful of recent treasures I'm super smitten with. Old photos from the flea market, dried lavender from our garden, a sparkly vintage prism from The Vintage Industry in Ithaca, and a beautiful carved wood stamp from Mmim via Pratt Works in Albion, NY.
We scored this out-of-this-world-awesome vintage 'Atomic Space Gun' at one of our favorite Ithaca haunts, Significant Elements. Our resident space alien has definitely been eyeing it, so we're not leaving them together unsupervised.
We spotted this fabulous glass disco ball at the Ithaca ReUse thrift store, and promptly talked ourselves out of it. That night, we came to our senses and realized that really, everyone should have a disco ball. We went back the next day and scooped it up for just eight dollars!
The moment our new-to-us disco ball caught the light in our plant-filled dining room, we knew this baby was a permanent addition. We may eventually hang it, but for now it enjoys snuggling in our mid century woven chair.
And speaking of that plant-filled corner - we finally got around to hanging our bentwood plant hanger! Sometimes I take a living room detour just to peek at it. I can't wait 'til there's pretty plant vines hanging down!
In other plant-related news, I've been on the hunt for clear glass bud vases to use for propagating plant babies, and was pleased as punch to find this little cutie on a recent thrifting trip! I love that it's colorful, but I can still see those teeny little roots when they begin sprouting (that's when you know they're ready to plant).
Last but not least, our patio tomato plants have been rewarding us with oodles of ripe red beauties this week. We're putting tomatoes on everything... anyone have a good tomato-heavy recipe to share?
Until next week, my friends! Don't forget to slow down and enjoy the little things that make you smile!
